The Coinweb Monthly Spin - Tenth Edition

Coinweb Project's Monthly Round-Up and Curated News & Events From The Bleeding Edge of All Things Web3

Hello Coinwebbers! It has been a wild 31-day roller-coaster ride in crypto, and even that’s an egregious understatement. BTC and ETH is down 4% on the monthly, the first July since 2019 to close red. We started off the month with BlackRock’s endorsement of Bitcoin and application for the BTC Spot ETF, leading to a 13-month high of $31,500. Then, we saw the partial ruling in favor of XRP (could you be more unclear?) as not being a security – which was just reversed by a different judge of the same court, days ago. Central Banks around the world got on the CBDC wagon, and regulators responded to the US’ lack of certainty by issuing guidelines. Gary Gensler asked for more money and was roasted by the House Appropriations Committee. The FOMC hit 22-year ATH rates, and the US credit score was again downgraded by another provider from AAA (Moody’s still has the grade at AA). And to top it all off, Curve Finance (the second largest DEX) gets hacked to bring July’s total losses to exploits to over $300M – the highest YTD. Being a crypto enthusiast this month was like being Catherine Zeta-Jones dodging lasers in Entrapment.

Coinweb has seen a highly productive month, from our community growth as a result of greater exposure via CryptoBanter, to the initial phase of our Wallet Alpha release. We’ve successfully implemented new workflows inside our development teams to provide for better specification and documentation of the SDLC, which will play a crucial role for us to achieve our next milestones: the public release of our SDKs and providing the support required for ecosystem dApps and projects to be built on our breakthrough protocol. Buckle up buckaroos, it’s gonna be one hell of a ride going into Q3!

The Monthly Spin is the newsletter dedicated to our progress as a fast-moving, exponentially-growing project that is committed to being high-touch with our community and providing value in as many ways as we can. So, every month you can find not only our progress, but also general value in the form of blockchain affairs, adoption, education, as well as a thought leadership section for your own personal exploration. You can no longer find The Daily Spin, but now The Weekly Spin, every Monday on our subreddit for curated news and opinions from the world of Blockchain, designed to keep you informed of the most trending, in-the-know, and controversial topics. We strive to keep you informed, connected, curious, inspired, and of course… clinically sane in these crazy yet exciting times that we share today.
